Western Australian systems integrator and software vendor K2fly has been handed a customer relationship management (CRM) systems integration deal by electricity network operator Western Power.

The contract will see K2fly provide support to the business function relating to a CRM program being carried out by Western Power. K2fly’s involvement in the project is expected to last for three to four months.

Western Power, which is a Western Australian Government-owned corporation, builds, maintains and operates the electricity network in the southwest corner of Western Australia.

K2fly, which is publicly-listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), told shareholders that the revenues arising from the contract are expected to be up to $550,000.

“K2fly is delighted to be awarded this significant piece of work which sees the company working with the business as well as ICT within Western Power,” K2fly CEO and executive chairman Brian Miller said.

“This was a competitive tender process and K2fly has won the right to act as the interim systems integrator for Western Power,” he said.

K2fly is headquartered in Perth and claims its own portfolio of asset management software solutions while also acting as a reseller for a number of software vendors, including OBI Partners, Kony, Pointerra, ABB and Capita. It also has a strategic alliance with SAP as a silver partner of the vendor.

In addition, the company provides advice, consultancy and other services to enterprises in verticals such as rail, electricity, gas, water, mining, resources, facilities management and defence.

In July last year, K2fly revealed it would acquire Perth-Based software company Infoscope, which has made a name for itself thanks to its Microsoft Suite-based data collaboration platform, in a $1.25 million deal.

It was hoped at the time that the acquisition would allow K2fly to enter into the mining industry with Infoscope’s data collaboration platform. The Infoscope offering now makes up part of the company’s broader product portfolio.
