Brisbane-based engineering document management software vendor has been acquired by workplace and asset management solutions provider Accruent to expand its reach in the local region.
Founded in 2012, RedEye has six offices globally and its solution, offered as software as a service (SaaS), focuses on engineering data management, asset and work management, bushfire risk management and digital twin solutions.
According to Accruent, RedEye’s solution contains advanced search capabilities, is ISO 27001 compliant and has application programming interface (API) connectivity to integrate documents across business systems.
Additionally, users will have access to regional data hosting hubs, which are designed to be compliant with relevant privacy and security regulations.
Acquired for an unknown sum, Accruent president Bill Pollak claimed the deal would see it expand geographically and invest further in solutions across the facility and asset workflow.
The company also said that the acquisition would strengthen its leadership in the engineering document management system (EDMS) space that, coupled with its portfolio, would result in a solution that allows users to manage engineering documents, drawings and media from any device.
"This acquisition underscores our commitment to delivering industry-leading solutions across our portfolio,” he said.
“Overall, RedEye’s industry-focused, cloud-native solution, coupled with its strong customer satisfaction, aligns with our investment strategy and long-term objectives."
