Australian cloud technology company FirstWave has taken another step in its international expansion plans through inking a partnership with global system integrator NTT Data UK.
The deal will see NTT Data UK have access to on-sell cloud security solutions via FirstWave’s Cloud Content Security Platform (CCSP) to its enterprise, public sector and telecommunications service providers across the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, India and Asia Pacific.
CCSP applies machine learning techniques and integrates with virtual appliances from vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet. It provides security for customers using public and private cloud business applications and provides operational efficiency.
FirstWave is forecasting three-year recurring revenue from the UK and Europe to sit between $8 million and $10 million.
FirstWave CEO David Kirton confirmed it was the first deployment of the platform in the UK with revenues expected in the second half of FY19.
Recently appointed business head for EMEA and North America, Sundar Bharadwaj added the partnership was an important pillar of its global growth strategy.
NTT Data UK CEO, Simon Williams, said it will provide the cloud security solutions to its global clients in areas such as insurance, financial services and government sectors.
“Our clients, including telco service providers and data centre providers, will also benefit from this unique platform to deliver their own branded security as-a-service proposition on a consumption based monthly pricing model to all their business customers,” Williams said.
“Together with FirstWave and our service provider clients, we are targeting a 5-10 per cent market penetration of our SP customer base in the initial 12-18 months.”
Recently, FirstWave appointed Shelt Global as its first reseller to cover the Middle East and Africa (MEA) regions.
Shelt is a cyber security managed services provider, offering online and cloud-based security services to global clients through a cyber security-as-a-service model.
Publicly-listed FirstWave has begun proof of value trials with what it claims to be one of Africa's major data centre and cloud company.
